Top Polytechnic for IVP (Institute Varsity Polytechnic) Games 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2nd in 2009.

Our club consists of 70 athletes currently. Our events range from short distances to long distances and field events. We have trainings twice a week which increases as we approach the competition season. We compete mainly in the IVP (Inter-Varsity Polytechnic) Games & the POL-ITE Games. Track and Field Club is all about perseverance and determination. Every NP athlete trains as a team, fights as a team and eventually wins as a team. Furthermore, we want to nurture our members to be able to do ordinary work extraordinary, always go beyond whats expected and adding integrity to every action.

As the common test week is around the corner... all training will be cancelled until after test week... However u all can still form yr small group and train together and stuff like that... just get a "leader" and ask me for workout... i will help u all ask the coach and stuff... last training with the coach will be 28 may wednesday which is today... afterwhich training will only resume after test... will update u guys with more... sorry to be posting this only till now... dont have much time...

TRAINING DAYS HAS BEEN CHANGED TO MONDAY WEDNESDAY FRIDAY FROM NEXT WEEK ONWARDS... HOWEVER BECAUSE THE WEEK AFTER NEXT WILL BE OUR COMMON TEST WEEK... THERE MIGHT BE CHANGES TO BE MADE... FOR NOW... JUST ATTEND THE MONDAY TRAINING AND WE WILL UPDATE U GUYS!

Hello all,

Please support this event.
It is an outreach event, students (4 pax) will be heading to sec. sch. to promote NP sports. You will be paid $10 for 2 hrs slot.
Please have a look at the schedule below and support 1 date either AM or PM (please indicate).

Only 4 CCA clubs are short listed. T & F, Fencing, Soccer & softball.

Wat to do?

Step 1, decide on a date (AM or PM)
Step 2, come out with a simple activity (interactive type) Submit in a word doc. with diagram. eg. softball, throwing and hitting cans. Soccer- penalty shoot.
step 3, submit a name list of students who are free on the chosen date. (full name/student no./course/yr.)
step 4, LET ME HAVE THE LIST BY NEXT MONDAY 26 MAY (do let me know if the club CANNOT support SDAR)

Please note that attendance is important for our club! This is what our advisor demands... because without attendance... u wont be able to represent our poly in any competition... do take note! So let us work together in acheiving the best and train as a team... as a whole... as ONE!

Please note that for those who are partcipating... look through the saa website to check on your event... u should be here one and a half hour before your race as u have to do your warm up and followed by a 30 mins in advance reporting time thing...

Hope u guys enjoyed yr first official training... with the coach... if u are feeling pain in your legs or what so ever... ice it appropriately... like 10 - 15 mins with a cloth wrapped around an ice pack...

Anyway... my main concern here is that there will be an upcoming event called the all comers' meet... u guys might want to just take a look or even participate... if u people do want to participate... let us know asap, as closing date is on 12th may, and we will get back to u...

Well, just to keep you guys informed.

There'll be a TRIAL for freshies next week on training days... tues and thurs...

So take more rest during the weekend and consume more water =D

Anyway this is for coach to put u into events that u have potential in... after going thru the trial... she will either put u to train in that event or u can still choose to stick to yr own events if u really want it... so no worries! =)

you will now be joining our trainings on tuesdays and thursdays(5.30pm) and saturdays(9am)

YEAS!! WHEE!!

anyways, do turn up because we will miss anyone who don't turn up. although i am very bad with names, i think i can remember some names. =D

like always, treat the trainings seriously, but you can always still have fun when there's break. remember, you can make friends in track too. friends who share the same passions as you, running and running and throwing and throwing.

ahh~ remember to buck on your homework and projects all trackers and fielders!
